What if design system documentation became a beacon for quality?
The quiet time while half the office had left for summer holiday was spent catching up on my Figma watch list. One of the talks that really inspired me was "Design Systems Anarchy" by Lauren LoPrete.
“Be the beacon of craft in your organisation. Your documentation, your communication, it is all an argument for quality. Show people what good looks like. Coherence is evidence that someone cares.”
It got me thinking: how could design system documentation become a beacon for quality and showcase all the decisions that go into every little component?
Inspired by Mechanical Pencil by Bryan Macomber, I vibed together a prototype that could explode our coded components and expose how we bind styling across platforms.
But now this exploration has to be put on pause. It's my turn to give others some peace and quiet in the office for deep focus, as I head off on summer holiday myself. ☀️
